About Our Research Group
The Elmore Research Group advances cancer screening and diagnosis of melanoma and breast cancer by combining clinical insights with artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to uncover specific strategies to enhance efficiency and accuracy of cancer diagnosis and reduce physician variability. The research group portfolio spans cancer screening, medical technology, statistical methods, medical education, health IT (including big data), and OpenNotes, patient engagement, and healthcare delivery. The majority of our research studies occur at both University of California, Los Angeles and the University of Washington, along with a network of talented collaborators at leading institutions across the United States.
